We were happy with the accommodations. We were very pleased with the responsiveness of the management company when we had some issues due to the hurricane. They answered my calls and were there within 2 hours to fix the issues. When the elevator was ots the owner of said company showed up upon checkout to assist with carrying our luggage down 4 stories.

The unit was clean comfortable and in a good location.The elevator and the wheeled cart was appreciated.The staff at the rental company was easy to work with. One surprise was that the parking spot for the unit was not under the building and parking in the lot was tight.There is additional parking across the road.

Nice location, easy access to the beach ️!! We found the furniture in the living space to be somewhat “tired”, sofa uncomfortable, has lost its “bounce”, more noticeable while waiting out storm “Opelia” for a couple of days in the condo. Also, wish the sliding doors to the deck had screens to enjoy the fresh air.

I enjoy staying at a place where the beds are good quality and comfortable! I also appreciate that the linens and towels were provided, so there was less for me to pack. The property is in a great location, very convenient to the Aquarium, Fort Fisher, the Ferry, and Kure Beach Pier. Ocean Dunes is always a favorite with so many amenities to offer. The best part is being beachfront. I enjoyed my stay just as I enjoy staying at all A1 properties.

2103C is a very nice condo. This was our second stay at this oceanfront dwelling. Everything was neat, clean and in working order. A call from A1 prior to our stay warned us that the elevator was out of order. The steps provided a daily workout!

When we arrived, we took the elevator to our top floor unit and the elevator started to shake and jerk as it approached the third floor in a very worrisome way. I called the property management company who said they would send someone over. After hearing nothing, I called again on Monday and they had no infor about my call. They also told me it was outside of their responsibilites and they would have to call the condo association which they did. Otis came out the next two days but we were aftaid to trust it again. The doors to the elevator were covered in rust, there was a hole in the ceiling where a light used to be and it just looked like it had seen better days,

It meant we walked up and down 42 stairsn with luggage, groceries, etc every time we went out. We are in our 70's so this was a challenge. The manager of the property mgt company did offer to send staff over to carry our luggage back down if we wanted them too. I decided to share this as it might be a factor in your decision on where to stay on the island.

Inside, the unit was clean, kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable. Having the ocean view and sound of the waves was the best part. It is just that the age and wear and tear on the building exteriors would prevent me from staying at Ocean Dunes in the future.

We've stayed here several times and as always, it was a delightful 2 week stay. Just can't beat that view. The elevator to the top floor is much appreciated as well as no noises from above. Top floor has many advantages. The kitchen is clean and up to date. The living room has plenty of seating. The bedrooms & bathrooms are up to date and tidy. Just a great place to stay!

We loved the place we stayed at the views were amazing we were right on the beach the place was beautiful definitely will go back.

One week stay with a family of 6 & our first time visiting Kure Beach. The condo was clean and provided a great space for us. The view was really wonderful from the deck & we spent a good bit of time out there! You could also catch the sunset colors from the front deck. The rocks out front, although really pretty and interesting to explore, caused us to walk a couple units down to sit beachfront so as to avoid the rocks with children swimming. Not a major problem, just something to be aware of. The pools were clean & we used them daily. Tennis court could use a facelift but we still were able to play. The location of this unit allowed walks to Fort Fisher & the recreation area & trails to the south. Then 1.5 miles to the Kure Beach pier. Easy to drive up to Carolina Beach for groceries & many more shops/restaurants/etc. Also, the A1 team was quick to respond, friendly & great to work with.

From the moment we opened the front door onto a living room area looking straight out at the ocean, we had a relaxing wonderful week. Very nice accommodations. Kitchen was well equipped. The only complaint we had was the quality of the bath towels which were supplied. Their absorbency was very poor. If you are driving, I'd bring your own!
The deck is really great for reading and sun-sitting if you want to take a break from the beach. Highly recommend.

This was a great find. Clean, nicely furnished condo on the top floor with a fantastic view. We spent a great week searching for shells on the beach, watching the view from the balcony, and even checked out the aquarium just down the road. Was a little disappointed that the pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance the week we were there but the beach was what we really came for.

Our stay from March 14-22, 2022 was great. Condo was very clean and in good repair. The oceanfront location with steps to the beach was just what we wanted. For 2 of us it was the perfect size. We appreciated being a distance from busy areas of Carolina Beach. The Veggie Wagon is a must for local fresh food! Although the linen package is a great starter, I will pack a few extra wash clothes and kitchen linens next time. Hope to return to this quiet sanctuary!

Great experience. Condo was clean and well furnished. All information necessary, including check in and entry code, provided in a timely manner. The location, a few hundred yards from Ft Fisher, was great for access to the historical site and aquarium. And the balcony view is fabulous.

This is our second year spending our beach week here and we love it so much. The place is so well appointed and makes us feel so at home, and we look forward to returning next year! The memories were making are so special to us. Thank you!!

This is our second stay in this Oceanfront Condo, and we loved it just as much as the first time! The location and the view is just perfect. The deck is lovely, and we enjoyed watching pelicans and spinner sharks from the high top table while eating breakfast and dinner. Decor is beach but not tacky. Keypad entry, smart TV, and labels for light switches were small conveniences we appreciated. The kitchen is very well appointed, with everything we needed to cook dinner every night. The management company recently upgraded the TV and added additional seating in the LR which is a bonus. Kure Bech itself is so charming, and we can't wait to come back next year!

Perfect location. Woke up to watch the sun rise most mornings. Kids loved playing in the rocks and in the waves. Condo was clean and perfect size for the 4 of us.

Condo was in excellent condition with everything we needed. We are looking right now to get our vacation for next year on the books!

We have some to Carolina Beach or Kure beach every year for 5 years now and we love it. We always stay in an A1 property, the properties are always clean and exactly as advertised and everyone is so helpful when needed. The island is very family friendly and we always look forward to the good food and exploring the island. This location was a little further away from the Piers so it was quiet and relaxing. It was also a short walk to Fort Fisher. The only thing that was disappointing was that the hot tub was out of order in the rec center, but that was not in the property management's control. Our boys explored on the rocks, found hermit crabs, built sandcastles, boogie boarded and enjoyed the beach in the morning and then when it got too hot, we went to the indoor pool. We also love the aquarium, the board walk, arcades, Kure pier, playgrounds, and of course all of the sweet treats! We never leave without lots of doughnuts, ice cream, and much more. We always stop at Flaming Amy's, the Veggie Wagon, Britt's, Ida Thai, The Celtic Creamery, Vinny's, Hang Ten, and Island Burgers and Bites. I always leave thinking about when I can start planning next year's visit!

We absolutely loved it here. We have a 7 and 8 year old and they loved it too. Thankful for the books provided, they love the Wimpy Kid series. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook. The storage unit was nice because we could store stuff there instead of walking all the way back up, there is also stuff in it that other guests have left and didn't want to haul back home. We left some of our beach toys. We rented this unit because it was 3rd floor and it was near the end of beach. We came week before Memorial Day and it was crowded at all.

This Side Of Heaven! The only negative comment we have was that two of the kitchen chairs were damaged and couldn't be used.

Very clean and modern condominium. Great balcony and views. Relaxing and quiet in January.

This place is a perfect place to stay. The condo has the best view of the ocean you’ll ever see. Dolphins swim by every day and feed at the rocks right out in front. I was lucky enough to see a whale while I was staying here also. The beds are comfortable and again the view in the mornings at sunrise are spectacular. Very well supplied and nicely decorated.

Condo is just like the photos, very tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. Kitchen needs some updating but is serviceable. Location and view were outstanding. Deck furniture very comfortable. Overall a great experience and we would rent this unit again.

We had a great time at this place! Can't beat the views right on the beach. Very convenient and close to the beach. The elevator was a little further away then what we thought it would be, but a community cart was available and saved us many trips. Overall, this was a great spot!

Well, the hurricane put a damper on the first part of the week, but I have to say I was impressed that the electricity was all restored within 24 hours. The condo is very nice and very convenient to the beach. The elevator made it very easy to get our things in and out. The management company was awesome! We also very much liked the convenience of keyless entry. That way all of us could come and go as we pleased. The only thing I would be wary of, is that this condo is directly in front of some rocky areas. The very young and very old were fine with these, because they were fun to walk around on and try to find shells in the cracks, but for my teens and my husband, it was annoying to them to have to go up further on the beach to do their boogie boarding and swimming.

Kure Beach was a great place to get away to after being on the “Stay at Home” orders during The COVID-19 Shutdown. The beach and condo both allowed for us to continue using our social distancing protocol because it’s not crowded and overbuilt. This condo unit was very comfortable and great proximity to the beach. The Master Bedroom bed was very comfortable and the kids seemed to be comfortable in the twin beds. I do have a wild sleeping 4 year old so I brought our fold away side safety rail to keep him from falling out. That might be small but much appreciated amenity that could be added. Another mom suggestion would be a hand held shower sprayer in the hall bath could be helpful. Overall our stay was affordable, clean, and comfortable. Some might say the kitchen needs updating, but the basics were there, it’s clean, and I was on vacation from doing much in the kitchen anyway. Very nice to have an elevator when juggling a kid and gear.

Property:   The condo was conveniently located at the quiet end of Kure Beach. I loved that the beach was right outside our door, and we could walk to the indoor pool and an outdoor pool. The condo was equipped with everything we needed!
